Capacity Building & Human Resource Development
An organisation’s ability to deliver value to shareholders and customers hinges significantly on its capabilities. In other to improve performance and deliver quality service, organisations need to prioritise identifying requisite capabilities and investing in building these capabilities within their organisations. Whether it is for the sole purpose of executing change projects or to improve quality of service delivery, investing in and proactively implementing capability building programmes promotes self-reliance, improves individual and organisational performance and increases chances of project success, among other gains, both for the organisations directly, and for their customers. It is important to bear in mind however, that capability building programmes which do not take into consideration the need for concurrent building and refining of systems and processes to sustain the new capabilities, eventually fall short of expectations. For example, investments in digital skilling should ideally accompany systems upgrade and overhaul and process re-design, in order to achieve the desired gains. This underscores the need for continuous, systematic, holistic capability building programmes rather than uncoordinated, one-off, simplistic skills building programmes, which is often the norm.
SEISMIC supports holistic re-tooling and upskilling of individuals and entire organisations by helping to identify capability gaps and providing structured, targeted and broad-based capability building programmes that are completely aligned with business goals and overall strategy, and tailored to specific challenges, needs and contexts. SEISMIC’s capability building is systematic, hands-on, learner-centred and performance-enhancing.
